All international students admitted to KGIP2024 are required to possess health insurance during the program. It is a must for the participants to subscribe to comprehensive international health insurance in their countries of residence prior to travelling to Korea. It is students’ sole responsibility to cover the costs of any medical treatments at full during their stay in Korea.
KGIP 2024 Session II participants can also sign up for National Health Insurance (NHI) or Private Health Insurance (PHI) packages as international students in Korea upon obtaining Alien Registration Card (ARC) in Korea. However, the processing time of ARC issuance by local immigration authorities may be delayed up to six weeks from the date of the participants’ arrivals.
More information on Korean NHI, including premiums and the scopes of coverage, can be found here: https://www.nhis.or.kr/english/index.do
