All international students admitted to KGIP 2023 are required to possess health insurance during the program. Participants are strongly recommended to sign up for comprehensive international health insurance in their countries of origin/residence prior to travelling to Korea.
Although program participants can also sign up for National Health Insurance (NHI) or Private Health Insurance (PHI) packages as international students in Korea, the processing time of Alien Registration Card issuance by local immigration authorities may delay their eligibility to both NHI and PHI.
It is students’ sole responsibility to cover the costs of any medical treatments at full during their stay in South Korea.
